Kochi: The Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition filed by actor Dileep seeking an injunction restraining the police from conducting further investigations into the abduction and sexual harassment of the actress.
In February 2017 in Kerala, a popular actress was abducted and sexually abused. Seven people, including actor Dilip, were arrested in the case. Dilip is currently out on bail.
The case is being heard in the Ernakulam court. Meanwhile, a petition was filed in the Kerala High Court on behalf of the police seeking permission to conduct further investigation in the case. Protesting against this, the petition filed on behalf of Dilip said, ‘The case has been filed and the charge sheet has been filed. Only one witness has to be questioned.
The police should not be allowed to conduct further investigations pending a verdict. He ordered the police to complete all investigations in the case by Apr. 15.
