Actress assault case: Prosecution wants three more months for further investigation – KERALA – GENERAL

Kochi: The prosecution has told the high court that it will take another three months to complete the investigation based on the revelations of director Balachandra Kumar in the case of attacking the actress. The explanation was given in a petition filed by actor Dileep seeking cancellation of further investigation. A detailed plan for further investigation was submitted in a sealed envelope. Justice Dr. Kauser Edappagath moved the judgment of the petition.

Dileep’s lawyer argued that further investigation was needed to fabricate evidence against Dileep. He said the prosecution was trying to prolong the trial as much as possible. The High Court, therefore, asked what was the benefit and whether it was necessary to wait till the last stage if the trial was to be extended. He also questioned whether the investigating officers could have come up with a better story if Balachandra Kumar had been involved in the revelation. Dileep’s lawyer replied, “It doesn’t make sense.”

The prosecution objected to the argument that further investigation was to fabricate evidence. The allegation that the footage was obtained from Dileep is not true. Scenes are digitally locked. You can find out if you try to open this. The DGP, who appeared for the prosecution, said that the investigating officer had no animosity or any malice towards Dileep. T.A. Shaji clarified. The actress, who joined the case, claimed that the accused had no right to file a petition seeking stay of the probe. Two weeks later, the high court adjourned consideration of another petition filed by Dileep seeking an injunction restraining the media from reporting on the proceedings in the case.
