Actress Jyotika Jyoti was contractually appointed as director of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in March last year. The actress was forced to leave the Shilpakala Academy after the mass reception of the students when she went to her workplace today.

Explaining the reasons for joining the Shilpakala Academy, Jyotika Jyoti said, ‘I was working as a director at the Shilpakala Academy on a two-year contract basis. My term has not yet expired and there is no cancellation process yet. So I have a job. What is going on in the country for the last two months, since then the work of the Shilpakala Academy office can be said to be almost closed. It’s been a week since the new DG arrived, so I thought I should go to the office. Although the secretary sir, advised me not to go into arts. But I still have a job. I didn’t like it either, so I went.’

Talking about the meeting with the DG of Shilpakala Academy, Jyotika Jyoti said, ‘When I went to Shilpakala, the DG sir was in a meeting. Then when he came out, I went out to meet him. I see many people in the arts. Many are whispering. I met DG sir. Sir said, look at this situation. Why did you come to the office? You better go away, let the situation take care of itself. You will act according to the decision made in this regard later.’
Jyotika Jyoti is surprised by the behavior of colleagues. The actress said, ‘After talking to DG sir, I tried to talk to others present in the lobby. But they won’t say anything.
