Chennai: South Indian actress Meena’s husband Vidyasagar (48) pays last respects to the film industry. Vidyasagar died at a private hospital in Chennai on Tuesday night. Vidyasagar’s body was laid to rest at Meena’s house in Saidapet. Since Wednesday morning, many people in the film industry have come to pay their last respects. Actor Rajinikanth went home and consoled Meena. Actor Kailash Reeth has submitted for ‘Amma’.
Prabhu Deva, Rahman, Khushboo, Sarath Kumar and Lakshmi Manju also paid their last respects. Sarath Kumar tweeted that he was shocked to hear the news of Meena’s husband’s demise and wished the family well. Khushboo tweeted that she was missing words to express her grief. Burial will be at Basant Nagar Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon.
Meena and her husband were diagnosed with Kovid in February last year. Vidyasagar continued to suffer from lung ailments even after his recovery. He was treated at a private hospital in Chennai for six months.
Vidyasagar died while trying to have a lung transplant. Meena and Vidyasagar have a daughter, Nainika.
