Anupama Chopra tweeted, “After the first half, the second part of RRR was not shown because they could not contain the second part. When asked by the manager, they replied that they did not know that there was still a movie left. It was an unbelievable and disturbing incident.”
However, in Kerala alone, the film grossed Rs 4 crore on its opening day. Apart from Telugu, the film is available in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi versions. Of these, the Telugu version alone earned Rs 127 crore on the first day! The Hindi version is second in the collection. The Hindi version grossed Rs 23 crore. The Kannada version fetched Rs 16 crore, the Tamil version Rs 9.50 crore and the Malayalam version Rs 4 crore on the first day. In addition, the film was well-distributed in overseas markets. The film is getting good bookings in the US, UK, Australia, Canada and the Gulf region.
