Kozhikode: Complaint that the mall authorities denied permission for the trailer launch where movie star Shakeela was to attend. The trailer launch of Omar Lulu’s film Nada Samam was held on Saturday evening at Kozhikode’s Highlight Mall.
But the director said in a video shared on social media that the authorities denied permission when they came to know that Shakeela was participating in the event. Omar Lulu also said in the video that the mall authorities said that Shakila was kept out of the program and the other crew members of the film were allowed to participate in the program.
But the mall authorities say that the permission was denied due to security issues and they had informed that permission would be given for the event if more security measures were put in place. They also informed that they have no discrimination against Shakeela. Earlier, during an event held at Highlight Mall, some people behaved rudely towards the actresses. Officials also say that after that, the police have instructed to ensure proper safety standards.
