Seventh stage and 20th consecutive year in the sports facilities of Sarnonico, for the national Miss Italy competition. The competing girls from all over the region, between 17 and 30 years old, presented by Sonia Leonardi, put themselves on the line to try to win the crown and the right to access the Regional Finals. The evening opened with the official acronym to continue with the parade of evening dresses and the classic institutional leotard, for the passage in front of the jury, presided over by the mayor Emanuela Abram. The winner, crowned by the mayor, by the deputy Carlo Zambonin and by the provincial councilor Lorenzo Ossanna, is the nineteen year old from Bolzano, Alexia Quaglia. Alexia, a language student, practices classical and contemporary dance at a competitive level. In addition to having won the sash, she received a Miluna jewel offered by the De Rubens Jewelery in Malè. The title of Miss Rocchetta, runner-up was conquered by the nineteen-year-old blonde from Rovereto Greta Russo, a student of education sciences. Third classified with the Miss Framesi sash is the twenty-four year old Nicole Colombai from Mezzocorona; in addition to being a human resource psychology student, she is an agonist latin dancer. Fourth slot for the twenty-three-year-old Giulia Gelmetti: she is originally from Pietramurata and she is employed full-time in a dental office. Two equal merit for the fifth classified, both from South Tyrol, Anja Lunelli and Alessia Fontana. Anjia is from Laives and is twenty years old, a law student, she works as a secretary at a notary’s office. Alessia, twenty-four years old from Bolzano, has a degree in modern literature and practices figure skating on ice. The last girl to conquer the sixth-placed Miss band is eighteen-year-old Ludovica Amenici from Bolzano. Also a scientific high school student, she loves dance and the world of entertainment. During the evening there was no shortage of games with the little ones: the show continued with the fashion moment; on the catwalk the tailored suits created for the occasion by the stylist Ivana Penasa of the Sartoria Rivablanca in Cles were presented, who for her 30 years of activity proposed some original and exclusive outfits. The intervention of Licia Colò, a well-known television face, who has a home in Sarnonico and has frequented the Val di Non for many years was very welcome. The girls’ hair look was curated by the professionalism of the Elisabetta di Cles Salon by Monica Odorizzi and the Salone Michela Style by Dimaro Folgarida by Michela Largaiolli for the Framesi brand. Special thanks went to Radio Dolomiti, radio partner of the evening. The next appointments with the provincial selections of Beauty: tomorrow, Tuesday 25 July Canazei at the Teatro Gran Tobià, Saturday 29 July in Cortina on the wine road, piazza San Martino, Sunday 30 in Pinzolo in piazza Carera and Sunday 6 August in Spormaggiore in piazza of the church. The first date of the Regional Finals is August 8 in Fiera di Primiero, followed by Andalo on the 9th, Folgaria on the 12th and Lagundo on the 15th. The regional final of the Miss Italia National Competition to elect Miss Trentino Alto Adige will be hosted for the seventh consecutive year in the suggestive Bressanone cathedral square on Monday 21 August (text and photos by Claudio Libera)
