Adani loan issue: Details cannot be disclosed

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in a written reply to a question raised by Member of Parliament Deepak Baij regarding Adani’s loan details, said the RBI cannot provide loan details of any company as per the Act. Therefore, Adani has stated that it cannot disclose the company’s debt details.

It is noted that Deepak Paige had raised questions regarding the details of loans given by banks to the Adani Group.

Opposition MPs staged a protest in Parliament condemning the central government and demanding a JPC inquiry into the Adani shares issue.
