Talking to a VNA reporter, a representative of the Thang Long Management Board (the investor of the project to build two urban bridges at the Mai Dich intersection), said that on July 11, the inter-branch including the Department of Transport Hanoi Transport, Traffic Police, Traffic Inspectors, investors and contractors met to find solutions.

Accordingly, the investor has asked the functional unit to add more signs, install remote channeling signs. For example, the direction from Linh Dam to Mai Dich on Pham Hung Street will be plug in the car threading variable From Big C point, let the car move to Le Quang Dao street.

The next solution is to draw paint lines, divide traffic, adjust the light rhythm to ensure priority for the main traffic flows. For example, in the morning rush hour, priority will be given to the time when the lights from Mai Dich direction to Xuan Thuy street will be prioritized and vice versa.

As the unit responsible for organizing traffic regulation at Mai Dich intersection, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien, Captain of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police), for I know that before organizing the construction of this project, this is a key intersection with a huge amount of traffic. Since the Ministry of Transport organized the construction of the project, the unit has actively strengthened the force to regulate and divide traffic at the intersection.

At the same time, the unit also organizes remote channeling to reduce traffic pressure at the intersection. However, due to the new traffic organization plan along with the roadway barrier to serve the construction, the intersection is more crowded than usual.

Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien, during the inter-sectoral meeting on the morning of July 11, the unit proposed at peak hours to put up a sign prohibiting trucks under 10 tons from passing through the construction site. As for the prohibition of contract vehicles from passing through the intersection, the unit also asked the authorities to specify what type of vehicle so that transport units can understand and actively comply.

As noted by the VNA reporter, at peak hours, there are still trucks over 10 tons and container trucks passing through the intersection. Team Leader Traffic police Road No. 6 said that because the new intersection is organized by the Department of Transport, the functional forces still remind drivers in the immediate future. Only then will the fines be applied if the vehicle owner intentionally enters.

Previously, on July 5, the Hanoi Department of Transport issued Document No. 70/TB-SGTVT on the division of traffic organization for the construction of the construction item of 2 urban bridges. and organize traffic at Mai Dich intersection (Investment project to build viaduct at Mai Dich-Nam Thang Long section, Ring 3.

Accordingly, organizing traffic guidance in the form of central roundabouts combined with traffic lights. Vehicles move through the central area of ​​the node under the guidance of traffic lights, painted lines, signs and traffic guides.

The project includes the construction of 2 urban bridges running along both sides of the current Mai Dich bridge and organizing traffic at the Mai Dich intersection in the direction of Pham Hung-Pham Van Dong street with a route length of about 210m; extending the starting point of the original project about 688m to the south of Mai Dich overpass, on Pham Hung street. The range in the intersection in the direction of Xuan Thuy-Ho Tung Mau road is 320m (160m from the center line to each side).

According to the decision approved by the Prime Minister, this is an additional item of the investment project to build the viaduct at the Mai Dich-Nam Thang Long section of the Ring Road 3 of Hanoi city to separate the motor vehicle lanes. Traffic in the inner city crosses the intersection with cars traveling along the elevated highway, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and accidents.

According to the project plan, the project must be completed before March 31, 2024. The construction contractor is TAISE Corporation (Japan).

Prohibit fixed-route passenger vehicles from traveling through the fences on both sides of Pham Hung Street and receive instructions. For vehicles traveling in the direction of Pham Hung-Pham Van Dong and vice versa, traffic through Mai Dich overpass.

For vehicles traveling in the direction of Pham Hung – National Highway 32 (routes from My Dinh bus station to Phu Tho, Lai Chau… and vice versa) traffic along the route My Dinh bus station – Pham Hung – Me Tri – Le Duc Tho – Ho Tung Mau and vice versa.

For vehicles traveling in the direction of Pham Hung-National Highway 32, traffic in the direction of crossing the Mai Dich overpass, turn around at the intersection of Pham Van Dong-Hoang Quoc Viet, turn right and go to Highway 32. Vehicles to Pham Hung-Nguyen Hoang- Le Duc Tho – Ho Tung Mau – Highway 32 and vice versa.

For vehicles traveling in the direction of Pham Hung-Xuan Thuy in the direction of crossing the Mai Dich overpass, turn right Hoang Quoc Viet-Nguyen Phong Sac-Xuan Thuy. Pham Hung – Ton That Thuyet – Tran Thai Tong – Xuan Thuy and vice versa. Buses have routes in the direction of Pham Hung-Pham Van Dong and vice versa through Mai Dich overpass.
