ABU DHABI (Reuters) – Abu Dhabi police have asked bicycle carriers to place an additional number plate so that vehicle number plates can be hidden. Some people deliberately forget the number plate to escape the camera on the road. Police said it was a violation of the law and a fine of 400 dirhams would be imposed.

As of last June, more than 5,000 people had been arrested for hiding their number plates.
