Adele dominated the Brit Awards stage once again as ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Album of the Year’ (for 30), and ‘British Song of the Year’ for ‘Easy on Me’. But when she went up to “best artist of the year” for the thanks, the problems started. For the first time, the Brit Awards became genderless, canceling the categories of male artist and female artist, unified in the one won by Adele. Thus her speech: «What a night! Thanks Brits… thanks to all of you in the audience, congratulations to all the other winners and nominees, you are great! I understand why they changed the name of this award, but I really love being a woman, I really love being a woman artist ».
