Dr. Miriam Adelson, the controlling owner of Israel Today, decided this evening (Wednesday) to appoint Amar Lachmanovich as the paper’s editor-in-chief, in fact Lachmanovich is the successor to Boaz Bismuth, who left a few weeks ago.
Amar Lachmanovich, 42, who has been the paper’s editor-in-chief for the past month, was one of the founding members of Israel Today in 2007, and has since served in the paper in a number of senior editorial positions, including editor of the current political supplement Israel Israel and book editor.
Lachmanovich is a graduate of the Camera Obscura School of Art. In 2013, he won the Bernstein Prize for Literary Criticism in the Daily Press – the first press prize awarded to an Israel Today journalist. In doing so, the newspaper will remain under familiar hands, and will continue on its ideological path.
