Adelsried. The Christmas market in Adelsried has a long tradition, as does the fact that winter fun is combined with a good text.
Every year, local groups and clubs organize the “small Christmas market” on the Adelsried town hall square. There is all sorts of things to do there on a Saturday evening, from horse-drawn carriage rides to a visit from St. Nicholas to a variety of food.
The voluntary fire brigade, the horticultural association, the parents’ councils of kindergarten and school, the FWG, the Junge Union and CSU, the riding and driving club, the AWO, the TC Adelsried and the carnival friends organize the spectacle in cooperation with the community, which takes place in the particularly popular last year.
Accordingly, the Christkindlesmarkt 2022 was successful. It is a good tradition that 40% of the income is distributed equally to the groups involved and 60% is donated to a good cause.
Now the donations were handed over in the Adelsried town hall and the recipients each received 500 euros for their social commitment. The suggestions for the thoughtful ones came from the circle of the organizers.
The following institutions received a total of 3500 euros:
• Bad Grönenbach children’s hospice
• Klinik Clowns
• Colorful circle
• Children’s home “Hütte” Lauterbrunn
• Parents’ initiative for children with cancer “Lichtblicke” eV
• Mutter-Kind-Heim Augsburg
• Table Welden
The Mayor of Adelsried, Sebastian Bernhard, thanked everyone involved for their great commitment to the village community and to the good cause. “The handing over of donations from the Christkindlesmarkt 2022 already makes you want to look forward to Christmas 2023 in the summer, because of course we would like to celebrate the winter season together again for social commitment”, says the head of the town hall.
