Suicidal behavior has long been recognized as a serious clinical issue among individuals with BPD, a mental health condition characterized by intense mood swings, unstable relationships, and impulsive behavior. With limited treatment options available, researchers set out to investigate the potential effects of medication, particularly methylphenidate commonly prescribed for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), on suicide risk in BPD patients.
