Adif and the Association of the Spanish Railway Industry (Mafex) have signed the renewal of the collaboration protocol to develop new lines of work and promote the competitiveness of the Spanish railway sectorwhich generates more than 30,000 jobs in Spain.
In a statement, both parties have stated that, with this alliance, they seek to strengthen the international positioning of the Spanish railway sector and undertake to continue working together on innovation and competitive improvement.
Some of these lines of work will focus on joint participation in foreign promotion activities, creation of working groups, promotion of international Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+i) projects, technical visits to facilities and meetings with entities international railway companies and actions to attract talent to the railway sector, among others.
The president of Adif and Adif AV, María Luisa Domínguez, has stressed that rail transport has become the “center of the new mobility”, for which reason collaboration with business associations in the sector in this context is “determinant” for continue to consolidate companies and institutions at the forefront and as benchmarks in “more sustainable, unifying, safe and intelligent” mobility.
For his part, the president of Mafex, Víctor Ruiz, has indicated that he values the renewal of the agreement “very positively”, since, in order to seek maximum future support and coordination, “greater promotion of public collaboration is essential -private, which especially incorporates SMEs”.
