Jaipur: The admission process has started amid the efforts to close English medium government schools i.e. Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools. Since the admission process was pre-determined. It was already decided to apply online from 7th May. In such a situation, the admission process has started from Tuesday. There are more than 2000 government English medium schools in the state. In these, online applications can be made for admission through Parents Shala Darpan portal till May 12. The lottery will be drawn on May 14.
Bhamashah will be able to get admission on 10 seats
Bhamashah donates generously to Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School. In many schools, along with building, maintenance of the building, boundary of the ground and planting of trees, Bhamashah also provides school uniforms and books to the children. Bhamashah who will donate Rs 50 lakh or more. They will be able to get admission of 2 students in each class as per their wish. Bhamashah will be able to get admission on maximum 10 seats. Schools which have recently converted from Hindi medium to English medium. Children who have studied earlier will be given priority for admission.

The list of applications received on May 13 will be posted class wise on the notice boards of schools.
Lottery will be held for admission on 14th May.
The list of students selected through lottery will be put on the school board on May 15.
Students will be given admission from May 16 with document verification.
Classes for the new session will start from July 1.
The government started the effort to shut down
The Bhajanlal government of the state had recently started the exercise of closing English medium Mahatma Gandhi schools. A 4 page form has been sent to all the schools. This form has to be filled and submitted to the District Education Officer. This form is for converting English medium schools back to Hindi medium. However, it has not yet been decided how many schools will be closed. It is believed that the schools opened four years ago where the school building, staff and all other facilities are adequate. They will not be closed. Those schools which do not have buildings, staff and other facilities, such schools will again be converted to Hindi medium.
