Creative minds worldwide rely on Adobe software products. By switching to a subscription model, the company can reliably generate sales and profits. Investors are happy about this. Especially since AI innovations now promise even more growth.

In recent years, more and more software providers have switched to so-called cloud-based subscription models instead of selling their applications once – as was previously the case – for permanent installation on customer PCs. The American software provider Adobe was one of the pioneers of this trend. Accordingly, the specialist for digital content has been able to point to very easy-to-plan, recurring sales revenue for some time. Now the company from San José in the American state of California wants to be at the forefront of the AI revolution, which is still in its infancy.

In the area of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI/AI), Adobe, for example, is fielding the design software Firefly. This can edit images with a simple key input. The company advertises that this would primarily give marketing teams in smaller companies the opportunity to develop their ideas even more easily. This is done by Firefly complementing popular Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Express or Illustrator. Adobe benefits from the fact that customers are currently longing for all kinds of software applications that also include generative AI.
