Adolescent male found guilty in Flen municipality due to child pornography tip off from the US

The ruling states that the case involved multiple films and roughly 30 images, with some being deemed particularly reckless. The investigation was initiated following alerts from US firms Snapchat and Dropbox, which flagged up potential child pornography associated with an IP address that was linked to the adolescent’s residence. The teenager has maintained his innocence and claimed that he had no intention of downloading such material. The verdict requires him to receive talk therapy relating to child pornography, among other topics, whilst in care.

According to the verdict, it has involved several films and around 30 images, several of which are judged to be particularly reckless.

The investigation began after reports from the companies Snapchat and Dropbox in the US that suspected child pornography could be traced to an IP address linked to the boy’s home.

The teenager has denied wrongdoing and said he had no intention of downloading child pornography.

In his youth care, he must have talk therapy about, among other things, child pornography, according to the verdict.
