Adrian Rafalov (Instagram)
following the father; Adrian Rafalov, son of Maccabi Haifa player Lior Rafalov, joined the pre-A team of Maccabi Haifa.
Adrian, who will be 11 years old in April (year 2013), started playing at the age of 6 at Club Bruges, and with the move of his father Lior to Antwerp a year later, he also moved to the children’s team of Antwerp.
Last December Gal Rafalov, Lior’s wife returned to Israel with the children, and as a result Adrian naturally joined the Greens.
Adrian is still waiting for a release letter from Antwerp so that he can participate in the league games in Israel (a matter of another week or two). Meanwhile, he took part in the team’s training.
Lior Rafalov told those around him: “It’s nostalgia for me to come every week to foam and see all the groups of children and boys.”
Rafalov, the father, started playing in 1998 in the youth department of Maccabi Haifa, and after 26 years, he comes full circle with his son.
