Minister of Economy and Industry Orna Barbibai announced that she had decided on the candidate she would recommend to the government for the appointment of the person in charge of the Competition Authority. The search committee transferred two finalists, Adv. Michal Cohen and Dr. Oren Regby. The Minister met the candidates and decided to recommend Adv. Michal Cohen.
Adv. Michal Cohen holds a law degree with honors from Tel Aviv University and is a graduate of another bachelor’s degree program in economics with honors from Tel Aviv University.
Since 2006 she has held legal positions in the Competition Authority. Served as Deputy Attorney General (Criminal), Senior Deputy Attorney General (Civil), Legal Adviser and from August 2021 serves as Acting Commissioner.
