The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that yesterday the Specialized Domain Forfeiture Court of San Salvador authorized the early sale of a home confiscated from Mauricio Funes.
“The Specialized Domain Forfeiture Court of San Salvador authorized the early sale of a home owned by Mauricio Funes,” the FGR said on social networks.
According to the institution, the property, located in a residential area in Antiguo Cuscatlán, has an area of 2,618 square meters and is registered as Latin America Spas SA de CV
On the other hand, the Specialized Domain Forfeiture Court of San Salvador, despite giving authorization, did not specify the amount for which the property was sold on social networks.
Mauricio Funes was president of El Salvador from 2009 to 2014, who fled to Nicaragua in 2016 for the crime of illicit enrichment and was sentenced to return the funds acquired during his term.
