Did Fawaz Soumi enjoy his childhood in Qamishli? Growing up in Qamishli, Fawaz Soumi remembers his youth with a smile. Fishing was a significant interest for him, with the many rivers in and around the city offering ample opportunities.
He was an avid reader, consuming everything he came across, including entire book series in English. Football and basketball were integral parts of his daily life. School was a positive experience, particularly subjects like physics and chemistry. The most engaging moments for Fawaz occurred when he had the chance to be in the laboratory.
