Through a meeting with the delegates of the municipal administration and the formulating team of the Public Policy for Sport, Recreation, Physical Activity and Physical Education, developed in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technological University of Pereira, progress was made in the socialization of the strategic deployment matrix, which will contain the indicators, goals and resources projected by the administration for the next 10 years.
The space was facilitated by Leader Giovanni Cano, Master in Educational Communication, who has the task of linking the different actors, public, private, community leaders, clubs, leagues, among others, to agree on Pereira’s vision in sports, recreation, physical activity and physical education focused on improving the quality of life of Pereirans.
Pereira Como Vamos joined this meeting to expose the sports and recreation indicators as well as mobility, public space, environment and health indicators, which are expected to be taken as references and serve for the formulation of this public policy.
Ricardo Rojas Espinosa, director Pereira Como Vamos, argued: “The challenge of the vision will be that this public policy be seen in a comprehensive and holistic manner from all angles and spheres and actors of society, beyond being seen for the specific sector. of sport, recreation, physical activity and physical education, then it must be more open to society and to all the multiple actors that have an impact on that public policy”. It is expected for the month of October to carry out with the Municipal Administration and the Technological University of Pereira, another great day to validate the constructed diagnosis and propose alternative solutions with the actors involved in this public policy.
DATA OF INTEREST
This public policy transcends the sole interest of the Secretary of Sport, being conceived as a policy of the Municipal Administration, where the Secretaries of Education, Health, Infrastructure, Social Development, Rural Development, Culture, ICT, Planning and Private participate in its formulation. .
