Idukki: Tourism Minister PA Muhammad Riaz said that adventure tourism will be developed as a major tourism sector in the state. The minister was speaking while inaugurating India’s largest aero sports adventure festival, the International Paragliding Festival online, which started at Wagaman. Adventure tourism is the fastest growing tourism sector in the world. The diversity of topography is the specialty of Kerala. The state is in a position to utilize various tourism areas that make this specialty possible. As part of this, Kerala hosts various festivals including Paragliding Fest. Water Kayaking Festival, Surfing Championship, Kerala International Mountain Biking Championship etc will be organized as part of this. Vazhur Soman MLA presided over the meeting. The festival will take place from 14th to 17th.
