Azerbaijan’s digital development strategy will include 51 main initiatives.

Najafli said the digital economy plays a key role in stimulating innovation by creating a platform for new ideas, technologies and business models.

“In 2025, Azerbaijan plans to launch a comprehensive strategy for the development of the digital economy, which will include 51 main initiatives in such key areas as developing human capital, promoting innovation and introducing smart approaches. As part of its implementation, research and analysis will be conducted to assess and ensure sustainable development of the digital economy and ecosystem, which is a priority for Azerbaijan,” Najafli noted.

The adviser emphasized that the favorable geographical location and human potential of the country will create the necessary conditions for the implementation of government programs in this area.

“The digital economy strategy will be aimed at creating a sustainable and competitive digital economy, which will allow Azerbaijan to take a leading position in this area. The strategy provides for an integrated approach to measuring and developing the digital economy, since coordination in this area is critical,” Najafli added.

According to him, the document will determine the directions for the development of all components of the digital economy, including digital infrastructure and services, legislation in the relevant field, availability of financial resources and the development of digital skills.

It should be noted that the “INMerge Innovation Summit”, organized by PASHA Holding, is designed to contribute to the development of the innovation ecosystem in Azerbaijan by uniting startups and investors, providing opportunities for cooperation, and also creating a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences between all participants in the innovation ecosystem.
