In 2019 he was criticized by the medical community for his financial support of alternative treatment organizations that lack scientific support.
As reported by El País, it all goes back to 1997 when the then-Prince wrote an opinion piece in The Daily Telegraph. At that time he publicly stated that he was a believer in herbs and homeopathy. He also spoke out in favor of uniting science with natural treatments.
