The Australian Open will start on January 16. Rafael Nadal is the current Australian Open champion. He won the title by defeating Medvedev. Nadal came back after losing the first two sets. Score: 2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Nadal said after the match that he overcame the toughest opponent of the tournament in the final.
