AEK is moving to acquire David Datro Fofana from Chelsea and is in negotiations with the 21-year-old Ivorian forward.
AEK has singled out the 21-year-old Ivorian forward from Chelsea, David Datro Fofana, to strengthen its attacking line. The Union is waiting to finalize an agreement with the player to also complete negotiations with the Blues for a loan, with or without an option to buy.
The last part will not pose a significant obstacle as Fofana is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans. Earlier, as reported by the BBC regarding his prospects in Greece, AEK is the one dealing with his case.
Fofana has a contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2029. Last season, he was loaned out, spending the first half of the season at Union Berlin and the second half at Burnley. The Blues acquired him from Molde in January 2023 for 12 million euros.
