I can’t stop working out. So I went looking for a job that gave importance to fitness. Nothing was right. I came to know about fitness trainer when I started learning more about it. More people were seen in foreign countries like the US. There are famous fitness trainers who earn between 10 lakhs and 5 lakhs per month. I learned that there are people who have made it a career as a fitness trainer even 10 years ago. I was sure that this career would grow in India in future as well. For that I focused more on fitness. We had the confidence that if we have passion we can succeed in the field we do. That is how he came to this field.

The difficulties faced

Today I am training people in every continent and every country. Apart from China and Greenland, people are being trained online and offline in many countries like Australia, UK, Canada, France and Germany. But many difficulties have been overcome to get to where we are today.

10 years ago I chose this as a career and went to Bombay first. At that time, people were not interested in fitness in Kerala. Many famous gyms in Bombay have asked me if I can get an internship to become a trainer. There are famous gym brands that I’m not good at. One thing was decided that day. Does not work under a gym or fitness club. There was a saying that my name will be my brand.

When you first say that you are a trainer, people ask what kind of training and what is your job. Because they don’t know about it. It was a time to ask if this was a job. There was opposition at home too. Like all Malayali families, my son insisted on getting a government job. But I wasn’t ready to give up. Because this is my life. When I started to venture into the profession of fitness trainer, my family also came to believe.

Many people in my family also made fun of me. But the children of many of the relatives who were teased then want to become trainers like me.

I was a gym trainer in a five star hotel in Kochi. I will train many people from abroad who come there. A famous businessman of Kerala also came there. I trained him. Young people get addicted to drugs because they don’t give importance to sports or fitness. They are not taught much about it in schools. Everything else will be taught to children. Children should be educated about fitness, exercise and health.
