by time news

Aeroflot is preparing to introduce QR codes confirming coronavirus vaccination. Now the company is finalizing the software. The general director of the carrier Mikhail Poluboyarinov told about this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Getting ready. We are ready to implement all decisions that will be made by the government. Now we are working on updating the software and all technological processes to make the procedure as comfortable as possible for passengers, ”said Mr. Poluboyarinov.

Earlier, the official representative of the company Mikhail Demin said that technically Aeroflot was already ready for this. Mikhail Poluboyarinov said that the airline considers it normal to introduce QR codes for boarding an aircraft, but opposes such a requirement when purchasing tickets.

The government submitted bills on a unified system of QR codes to the State Duma on November 12. It is assumed that Russians will be able to visit places of mass events, cultural institutions, catering and retail facilities with the presentation of either a certificate of vaccination or previous illness, or a medical evacuation from vaccination. The same rules will be set for travel by train and airplane. Now the bill is being discussed in regional parliaments.
