Benjamin Satterley, the internationally renowned professional wrestler known as Pac, has died at the age of 40, All Elite Wrestling announced on Sunday, September 28, 2026. News of his sudden passing arrived just hours after he competed at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. A cause of death was not immediately provided.
Global Career and Championship Legacy in AEW and WWE
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his professional wrestling journey on the British independent circuit in 2004 at the age of 16. Known for an explosive blend of high-flying maneuvers and raw technical power, he earned the enduring moniker The Man That Gravity Forgot
as his career carried him across the globe to promotions including New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
Before wrestling in AEW, he was with WWE and known as Adrian Neville. Benjamin Satterley was known as Adrian Neville in WWE and Pac in AEW. He made his New Japan Pro-Wrestling debut in 2012, and he signed a contract with WWE later that year, where he teamed with fellow England-born wrestler Oliver Grey. The pair became a formidable tag team duo known as British Ambition. Performing in WWE’s NXT development league under the name Adrian Neville, he held the longest NXT Championship reign in history, alongside two NXT Tag Team titles. He later moved to WWE’s main roster, where he seized the cruiserweight division as a two-time champion and gave himself the nickname The King of the Cruiserweights
before leaving the organization in 2018.

In 2019, Satterley became one of the first wrestlers to sign with All Elite Wrestling. Working under the monicker Pac, he quickly established himself near the top of the card through rivalries with the likes of “Hangman” Adam Page and Kenny Omega. Over his tenure with the promotion, he held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. He claimed the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship in 2022 and twice captured the AEW World Trios Championship—first alongside Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fénix as part of the Death Triangle,
and later with the Death Riders faction alongside fellow members Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta in 2025.
Final Appearance at All Out and Tributes From the Locker Room
Just one day before his death was announced, Satterley wrestled at the All Out pay-per-view event at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, outside Chicago. He challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship in the opening pay-per-view match of Saturday’s event. Despite losing in the title match, he put on a near 20-minute performance filled with vintage moments before later reappearing during the show’s main event between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley. The circumstances behind Pac’s death were unclear.

In the wake of the announcement, Superstars from across both WWE and AEW reacted to Satterley’s passing on social media. AEW made the tragic announcement on its social media.
