“Happy birthday… It’s your day today!” It takes a few seconds to understand the cheerful wishes that several patients and doctors from the French hospital in Kabul send us. Our day? Today is March 8, and these Afghans thought before us of International Women’s Rights Day. Unexpected and vertiginous in the country where the Taliban, in power since August 15, 2021, are gradually erasing the female part of its population, i.e. 20 million or almost women.
