“Africa Solutions Week”: The second edition from October 17 to 19 in Rabat (organizers)

“The SAS highlights a diversity of solution actors who think and act to improve our lives, our economies, our health and our environment. It brings together solution actors at various levels around concrete and inspiring initiatives, which demonstrate Africa’s creative capacity and make people want to act through the lever of inspiration,” reads a press release sent to MAP.

This meeting also works towards the emergence of innovative editorial lines, the promotion of solutions journalism and the valorization of constructive initiatives, bearers of hope and concrete solutions on the continent.

Placed under the theme “Media and entrepreneurs, accelerators of solutions for achieving the SDGs”, this second edition will be an opportunity to reveal, promote and amplify innovative solutions and constructive initiatives that have a positive impact on major African and global issues, the press release states.

It is also about creating links between field initiatives, media and citizens, to accelerate the resolution of problems and tell Africa differently by bringing out new positive and inspiring stories.

This event, initiated by the organization “Notre Voix” in partnership with the NGO WAID (World & Africa for Investment and Development), chaired by the Moroccan Hassan Benzzine, is also intended to be a tool to honor those who shape the Africa of today and tomorrow and to promote innovation and a press of solutions.

The objective is to amplify innovative solutions and constructive initiatives that have a positive impact on major African and global issues and promote an Africa of excellence, hopes and solutions, as well as African entrepreneurial know-how, according to the organizers.

The program of this meeting includes B2B and B2C meetings, in the presence of influential personalities and professionals from Africa and around the world, entrepreneurs and representatives of financial institutions and investment funds.

The agenda also includes several round tables on the themes of, among others, “Morocco, an extraordinary reservoir of initiatives, projects, creativity and innovation”, “Corporate social responsibility of African companies (CSR)”, “Media and journalists, accelerators of solutions”, “SMEs, VSEs, Cooperatives: Adapted and effective solutions for international trade”, “Rural cooperatives: these women who are building the future” and “Technological solutions that are moving Africa”.

Participants will also meet for a virtual film debate on the theme “Growth solutions for the African film industry”, intended to promote the African film and audiovisual industry, as well as a workshop on “Let’s dream the Africa of tomorrow together: New narratives, new stories to recreate a common ideal.

Before arriving in Rabat, the second edition of the Africa Solutions Week (SAS-2024) will stop in Paris for its first stage on September 20 and 21.

The WAID NGO works to promote innovation, female leadership, entrepreneurship, scientific research, agricultural development, cultural industry and education, with the aim of building a prosperous and inclusive Africa.
