But the real change will come around the weekend, when the African anticyclone will be forced to retreat towards its continent of origin. This retreat will be caused by an oscillation of the Atlantic flow, which will approach Italy, bringing with it a storm system.
The first effects of this system will be felt starting from Saturday 17th August in Northern Italy, with an intensification of thunderstorms that will also involve central Italy starting from Sunday 18th August.
