Abidjan (Ivory Coast): Nigeria in the semi-finals of the African Nations Football. Giants Nigeria progressed to the last four with a 1-0 win over Angola. Ademola Lukman (41) scored the winning goal.

Congo beat Guinea 3-1 to reach the semi-finals. Mbemba Mangulu (27), Yone Wissa (65 penalty) and Arthur Masuku (82) scored for Congo. Mohamed Bayo scored for Guinea (21 penalties). Congo reached the quarter by defeating the strong Egypt in the pre-quarters. Earlier in the group stage, Morocco, the fourth place in the last World Cup, was drawn.
