The passenger train that connects Abidjan and Ouagadougou has been suspended for four years following the Covid-19 pandemic. Last November, the locomotive finally returned to service, but only on the Burkinabe side of the border. The train makes a stop in Bobo-Dioulasso.
Currently, only freight trains operate on the Ivorian side of the line, leading to concerns and anxieties among travelers.
