Afrobasket-2024 (U18 boys): Morocco loses to Cameroon (67-47) in the semi-final
Pretoria – The Moroccan men’s under-18 basketball team lost on Friday evening to their counterparts from Cameroon (67-47), in a match counting for the semi-finals of Afrobasket-2024, which is taking place in Pretoria, South Africa.
At half-time, the National Five were three points behind. They qualified for the semi-finals of the competition for the first time, beating Angola (61-45).
In its first match in the opening round of Group C, the national team won against Zambia (84-67). It then lost (55-51) to Rwanda, but it dominated South Africa (66-31) for the title on the third day.
The other semi-final will see Mali face Senegal this evening at 8:00 p.m.
As a reminder, the tournament involves 12 countries divided into three groups.
Group A: Tunisia, Cameroon, Rwanda, South Africa
Group B: Angola, Mali, Morocco, Zambia
Group C: Uganda, Egypt, Nigeria, Zimbabwe
