After 11 years in films, I survived by being a good team player: Vinay Fort
Vinay Fort is a notable actor in the Malayalam film industry. Vinay entered the cinema with the movie Ritu directed by Shyama Prasad. The role of Vimal in Prema directed by Alphonse Putran was very popular.
Later, Vinay became a favorite of Malayalees by playing various roles in movies like Tamasha, Unda, Churuli.
The actor said that despite working in films for 11 years, he has not caused any problem with anyone. Vinay said that many people do films with the gang they are interested in and do not bother calling anyone for opportunities.
”I am a person who believes that films should be able to do something through acting characters. Films are made by people who are comfortable with each other. Everyone wants to make a film with such a gang.
A lot of people don’t know that I’m terribly approachable. If someone asks me how I survived 11 years, I will never say it is because of my talent.
Because I am a good group player. I have been in cinema for 11 years and have never faced any problem on the set of a film. No fight with anyone. I survived by being a good team player.
Gangsai work can never go wrong. They do movies with people they are comfortable with. I always think that I should rise to the point of having a character that only I can perform.
We have to create that commercial value. We get attached to certain characters. Later we will be called only to play such characters. Maheshetan cast me even before I acted in Tamasha.
Tamasha is the only film in which I can say that I was successful in the lead role. Ants don’t sleep and even if they do it’s a joke to say it’s a commercial hit.
That film is not a role that is generally offered to me. If the filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan thinks that role can be played by a star.
Similarly in Kuruli, it was not the usual role that I get. “I don’t bother calling anyone for a chance, I believe that it will come for me,” said Vinay Fort.
