After 13 years of pain, a “pen tip” was extracted from the gums of a patient in Onaizah

Doctors of King Saud Hospital in Unaizah managed to extract a foreign body “pen tip” from a patient’s gums, after suffering from chronic pain and infections, which lasted for 13 years.

And the Qassim Health Gathering stated that the patient in his thirties attended the dental clinic complaining of infections and pain in his tooth, which necessitated the necessary examinations and x-rays, which showed the presence of a foreign body “pen tip” between the folds of the gums in the lower jaw.

The treatment team succeeded in extracting the foreign body through a surgery that took half an hour, after which the patient returned safely and recovered from chronic gum infections.
