According to reports coming out today (Saturday) in the media in the United States, after 14 years of working together, Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook and his veteran agent, Tad Poucher, broke up due to “unbridgeable disputes.”
Poucher, one of the NBA’s most prominent players, was quoted as saying that “Westbrook’s best option is to stay with the Lakers, accept his new role now as a complementary player and support Darwin’s mother coach in public, rather than leave the team.
The 33-year-old guard has entered the final season of his maximum contract, and his professional future in the City of Angels is unclear. The player’s name has been mentioned many times in recent weeks as an option to trade after an unsuccessful debut season for the Lakers. Lukewarm has been the agent of the Russ since leaving the colleges in 2008 and became the No. 4 pick in the draft by the Seattle Supersonics when just a few days after the Westbrook selection, the team moved to Oklahoma City and changed its name to Thunder.
