After a 10-year hiatus, the “Hay Al-Musheer” station in Benghazi resumes its work

The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy of the government assigned by the House of Representatives announced “its success in solving the problem of recurring power outages in the Al-Musheer neighborhood in the city of Benghazi, after the main power station in the area had been shut down for more than ten years.”

According to the Ministry of Electricity, “the station underwent a comprehensive maintenance process that included replacing old, broken equipment with new ones, and installing new electrical cables with a length of 1,400 meters to withstand high loads and distribute the electrical current in a balanced manner,” stressing that “this step will contribute significantly to stabilizing the electrical current in the region and meeting the needs of the population.”

The ministry added: “Before the station was fully restarted, technical teams conducted a series of operational tests on the transformers inside the station to confirm their readiness and efficiency, as well as testing the transformers under high pressure to ensure their ability to provide continuous and stable electricity.”

It is noteworthy that this station had been out of operation for more than ten years, and its re-operation is considered one of the urgent projects of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to solve the problem of electricity and its fluctuations.
