After a 16-year hiatus, Al-Ajilat General Hospital opens

After stopping providing medical services for more than 16 years, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah, opened Al-Ajilat General Hospital.

According to what was published by the Ministry of Health in charge, “the hospital underwent comprehensive maintenance work and was equipped according to the latest medical standards within the projects of the Ministry of Health in charge of the Government of National Unity to improve health care services.”

The hospital has also been equipped with three (3) advanced digital operating rooms to enable the direct transmission of surgeries anywhere in the world’s hospitals via the international communication network, which contributes to making surgical decisions quickly and allowing the patient to receive appropriate treatment at the ideal time, according to the ministry’s statement.

According to the statement, “The hospital’s departments were equipped with a bed capacity of 60 beds, distributed among the departments (internal medicine: 20, surgery: 20, obstetrics and gynecology: 20), and the hospital’s nursery department was equipped with the latest types of nurseries, artificial respirators, and devices for monitoring the vital functions of newborns, with a capacity of (6) nurseries. The hospital’s radiology department was equipped with an MRI device that operates according to the latest diagnostic technologies. The hospital was also equipped with a medical analysis department and a laboratory according to the latest medical standards.”

According to the statement, “The Ministry of Health provided the hospital with its needs of equipment, medical supplies, and daily consumables to provide medical care services to citizens.”

The celebration was attended by Ayman Seif El-Nasr, member of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives, Saad El-Din Abdel-Wakil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Hospital Affairs, the Chairman and members of the Municipal Council, officials of the health institutions in the municipality, and dignitaries, elders and sheikhs of the Ajilat Municipality.
