Catches the eye
Driving along the Aristava-Kėdainiai-Cinkiškiai road, a box full of pink apples catches your eye at the beginning of Josvainiai town. If it weren’t for the sign that you can eat, you’d think that the street vendors were offering fruit for purchase.
Such an action by the owners of this beautiful and neat homestead is truly heart-warming. And when they stop to take one or two apples, people smile and thank their good neighbors.
A good example is contagious
Such a simple, but at the same time extraordinary promotion is a very good example for others who have excess harvest and want to share it.
In the Kėdainiai district, for the past few years, there have been more and more people who willingly share their crops with the poor. Why spoil a good thing, right? Better let the other person enjoy it.
Last year and the year before, gardeners from Pašilii shared the harvest of field cucumbers, and residents of the village of Beinaičius shared the harvest of apples and pears.
Such examples can be found all over Lithuania – apparently, a beautiful example is really contagious.
