/ Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club regained the lead in the Iraqi Premier League from Al-Shorta after winning today’s match, Saturday, against its host, Karbala Club, with a score of 3-0, in the ninth round of the league.
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya raised its score to 19 points, equal to Al-Shorta, but it outperforms it in goals.
The match took place at Al Kut Stadium at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
The first half ended with a goal for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, which came from a penalty kick successfully executed by Ayman Hussein. The referee of the match, Ali Hussein Ali, added nine additional minutes, and Abdul Qader Tariq missed a penalty kick for Karbala in the 45+9 minute.
In the second half, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya team scored its second goal in the 64th minute through the same player Ayman Hussein, to tie the score with Al-Hudood player Ibrahim Ghazi with seven goals, and before the end of the match, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya’s third goal came through Hussein Jabbar in the 90+2 minute.
The match witnessed the expulsion of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya player Hamoud Mishaan in the 72nd minute of the match due to the accumulation of cards, so Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya completed the match with ten players.
