After a continuous increase: the amount of dollars in the world is decreasing

by time news

From the beginning of 2020 to the beginning of 2021, the amount of dollars in circulation (M2) jumped by 39%. This, following an expansive monetary and budgetary policy designed to help deal with the Corona crisis. But with the rise of inflation in the US and around the world, the Federal Reserve and other central banks raised interest rates and thus stopped the printing of money. As a result, during the year 2022, the amount of dollars in the world decreased – which helps in the recession of inflation in the US, which currently stands at 6.5% per year.
