After a long period of silence, Mako Music has learned that the winner of the second season of “The Next Star”, Nadav Gedge, is back with new songs, and one of them was written by “The Next Star”, Kafir Zafarir. Gedge is currently in Italy for the filming of one of the songs.
The song in question is called “Crazy” – apparently as a nod to the mental crisis he went through several years ago and about which he shared bravely – on which he worked together with Tzafrir and the producer Nadav “Navi” Aharoni. The music video is directed by the music video director, who is considered one of the rising names in the industry, Omer Aloni, and the photographer Alon Daniel. The other music video will be filmed in Paris.
The 23-year-old Gage was revealed in the second season of “The Next Star” in 2015, when the prize was representing Israel at Eurovision. In the same year, he traveled with the Israeli flag to the competition in question held in Vienna, Austria, with the hit written for him by Doron Medley “Golden Boy”, with which he reached the final.
Since then, the song has had about 25 million views on YouTube, making him one of the most prominent names in Israel. Since then he has released a number of singles and in 2018 he released “38 degrees”, a single from his second album which was also the theme song in Kobi Machat’s movie “Pol Gaz” in which Gedge played. Gedge revealed that during the filming of the film he faced psychotic attacks. At the beginning of 2021, he released “Shani Matar”, which failed to realize its potential on the radio and at parties, apparently due to the corona virus.
