After abolishing it, Denmark will reintroduce the green pass

by time news

Time.news – After almost two months without restrictions, Denmark will reintroduce the green pass because infections from Covid-19 are increasing dramatically. The premier announced it, Mette Frederiksen, and the bill will be presented to Parliament tomorrow.

At the end of last week, health authorities had warned of the risk of seeing children “overloaded” hospitals in the country.

The authorities expected other people to become infected and hospitalized, but “things happened faster than expected,” the premier acknowledged. Today, for the fifth consecutive day, over 2,000 new cases have been reported.

The Denmark had abolished the green pass, introduced in the spring, on 10 September last, at a time when the number of new cases was four times lower than today.
