Sumit Sharma, Kanpur: A unique case has come to light from Kanpur, UP. Former secondary school principal suspended on husband’s complaint. The madam in suit used to lock the school and disappear. The husband had sought attendance report from Kanpur BSA under RTI. When BSA Surjeet Kumar conducted an investigation, the complaint was found to be true, on the basis of which BSA suspended the teacher. Manish Kumar, originally a resident of Jalesar town of Etah, is an advocate by profession. His wife Vinakshi is posted as Principal of Pre-Secondary School located in Sapai village of Bidhnu block in Kanpur. Vinakshi earlier had a single school, that is, there was no other teacher. It is alleged that taking advantage of this, madam used to lock the school and disappear every day. On the complaint of the family members of the students, the Block Education Officer had also given a warning by deducting the salary.
There was a dispute going on between husband and wife
During this time, Manish had a dispute with his wife Vinakshi. The teacher filed a case of harassment against her husband in Etah City Court. The teacher used to sign in the school’s attendance register and go to Etah every day to plead the case. Manish asked for attendance report from Kanpur BSA under Right to Information. Manish matched the court attendance report. In which Vinakshi’s signatures were found in the school and the court on the same date.
Teacher found guilty in investigation
The teacher’s husband Manish complained about this to Kanpur BSA. BSA got it investigated by Block Education Officer Bidhnu. Based on the investigation report that the complaint was found to be true, BSA has suspended the teacher. According to BSA Surjeet Kumar Singh, Vinakshi has been missing for 30 days without taking leave in the last 6 years. Even before this, action of salary deduction has been taken against him. He has been suspended on the basis of the investigation report.
