Hamas announced in an official statement on Wednesday that the funeral ceremony for the head of its political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, will be held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, tomorrow, Thursday, before his body is transferred to Doha for funeral prayers and burial on Friday.

She said that an official and popular funeral ceremony will be held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Thursday, and the body will be transferred to Doha on Thursday afternoon.

She explained, “The funeral prayer will be held at Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha after Friday prayers.”

She pointed out that the funeral ceremony will be held in Doha, “with popular and factional attendance and the participation of Arab and Islamic leaders.”

The Iranian President mourned Haniyeh: “Yesterday, I raised his hand in Parliament, and today I will carry him on my shoulders.”

Hezbollah stressed that Haniyeh’s martyrdom will increase the resistance’s determination to continue the path of jihad.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said: We strongly condemn the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
