The Russian Embassy in Israel against Dov Gil-Har: The Russian Embassy in Israel reprimanded the “Kan Haudas” envoy to Europe, journalist Dov Gil-Har, for a tweet he tweeted, in which he referred to the explosion of the Crimean bridge, which leads from Russia to the Crimean Peninsula, and in which he scolded Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin celebrated 70 – and this is the surprising gift he received from the president of Belarus for his birthday

“A birthday present, a day late, arrived packed in a truck. Respect to the driver who (probably) sacrificed his life. Happy birthday to Dimir!” Gil-Har wrote sarcastically. The 19km-long bridge is a strategically important asset for Russia, linking Russia’s Krasnodar region to its annexed Crimean Peninsula. Putin celebrated his 70th birthday yesterday.

A massive explosion occurred earlier today on the bridge leading from Russia to the Crimean Peninsula. The Russian news agency RIA reported that a fuel tank caught fire on the spot, and that “a truck bomb exploded in one of the sections of the Crimean bridge, the shipping arches were not damaged.” In photos posted on social media, it appears that part of the road and the railway bridge have fallen into the water below. Flames were also seen burning from overhead train cars. The source of the explosion is still unclear.

Putin ordered the establishment of a government committee to investigate the incident, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Peskov told the Interfax news agency that “the president instructed the prime minister to establish a government committee that will determine the causes of the incident as soon as possible.”

Advisor to the President Volodymyr Zelensky called the event “the beginning”, and noted that “everything that is illegal must be destroyed”.
